The Barrow Genealogy

My Paternal Grandmother's side of the family

(Note: Since the Higginbotham and Barrow families were closely associated for generations, and moved across the South together, some of this genealogy is repetitive with the Higginbotham genealogy, due to marriages, but each contains bits of information not found in the other.) Please excuse the redundancy.

James Barrow, was born in Alabama on May 24, 1808. Died July 7, 1892. He married Harriet Allen, who was born November 4, 1820 in North Carolina.
